I have found this carpet on a website of one of the most prominent collections of antique rugs in the world, the Nazmiyal Collection from New York. I contacted the Gallery owner, Jason Nazmiyal and he kindly gave me permission to use their photo of the rug and work with the carpet or a detail of the carpet in my new project.
The carpet is named in the collection Large Oversized Antique Kerman Persian Rug 48690, it stole my heart imediatelly and I call it Kerman Dream.

Detail of a Safavid carpet from 17th century from Kerman, Iran. The carpet was covering the tomb of Shah Nimatullahi, a great Sufi Saint, in Kerman. It was sold to a person from Europe in 19th century and is now in the Collection of the National Museum in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

I traced this garden ornament from just a piece of border of an antique carpet. While working on it, it recalled for me a story about an ancient carpet from the time when Muslims invaded Iran (Spring of Khoshrow).

The symbol in this and also some other paintings is taken from a carpet from Tabriz, Iran.
A cup, full of water, with abundant growth coming out of the water, and extended roots reaching out through the bottom of the cup. I was trying to find the meaning of this symbol but had no luck.
But then just recently my Persian friend from Sarajevo has explained to me that the big flowers are the Shah Abbas tulips in open blossom. The cup represents a quality of a Soul in Love that has within itself a sea of mercy, love and goodness.

This painting is based on a small Mehrabi, a praying carpet from Qum, Iran.
I enlarged it, made it 175 cm high, so when attached to a wall it symbolises a point of transfer between visible and invisible world.

Botteh is the name of this symbol. Symbol of growth, symbol of life.
It is commonly known by the name of "Paisley" which was used by the British when they started printing the symbol on fabric.
It is important that a common shared understanding of an image does not override the original deep cultural and spiritual meaning.
